Nanostructures is a research team that gathers competencies and expertise from theoretical domains related to materials sciences, physics, chemistry and nanoscopic engineering. The main goal of the group at Polytechnique Montréal is to study and to develop adapted numerical tools for the characterization of fundamental properties (quantum size effects, electrical transport, electronic structure) of nanomaterials (quantum dots, molecular wires, organometallic nanostructures).
